If you have been following my Twitter updates, you may already know this, but I have now lost 40 more pounds (50 total!) with just adding lots of green tea, white tea, and black tea! I was a size 22-24W and now I'm an 18 misses.
A lot of people have asked me is that all there is to it. Yes and no. The book (The Ultimate Tea Diet, available at www.HealthyChoicesShop.com ) suggest drinking and eating way more tea than I do, so following the suggestions would I'm sure increase the results. The only thing I do besides drinking straight tea [hot or cold] is I occasionally add some tea to the cooking water for my pasta or rice; with the other seasonings you don't taste it.
I already had a few good habits in place; I eat 98% whole grains and I bake most of our bread and rolls [and grind my own grains]. I find the "white stuff" really bloats me and I feel "icky" afterwards. I don't drink any diet sodas or beverages, and have a regular soda only once every 2-3 months. I don't use artificial sweeteners and I avoid high fructose corn syrup [despite what the corn growers association wants to tell us]; I use agave nectar, stevia, or WheyLow when I want to watch the calories, else I use organic sugar or honey. I use raw, soaked nuts for my snacks [I dry them in a low oven]; several studies show how the monounsaturated fats [like olive oil] and Omega3 fats help with fat loss, esp. in the belly. I drink about a gallon of purified water a day (sadly we have flouride and iron in our water here so a filtration system is a must). I also take a vitamin D3 supplement, 1000 to 5000 units depending on how much I get outside, and a B complex supplement. (check with you own health care provider for your personal recommendations on supplementation.) I have also started adding more beans to our diet for the fiber; adding bean flour to the bread doesn't change the taste and you don't have to cook them for hours ;o)
I hope some of this helps someone. The changes were relatively easy and didn't require too much work. I did get in some extra walking during the summer going to the local fairs and festivals, but since my DVD player died, I haven't been doing any other exercise plan.
Take care all!

PS: I plan to get a new computer in the next month or two, so hopefully I can get back to posting more regularly. If anyone knows where the good deals are leave a comment :o)
